A staged reading of Euripides' Women of Troy. This 2500 year old play acutely portrays the human cost of a city's fall, the devastation of war, and the haunting grief of those left behind. Seen through the perspective of the women who have lost husbands, children, and their country, we find many echoes of our modern world: Women held hostage\; family separation\; abuse of Power\; courting the wrath of the gods.
